Annual Event: Inclusive Leadership with Multicultural Network in Finance

Compassion. Courage. Action.

On the 27th of March 2026, Multicultural Network in Finance brought together leaders, allies, and change-makers for an evening of Inclusive Leadership, where vulnerability met vision, and dialogue turned into action.

In Belgium, multicultural professionals, especially those from non-EU backgrounds, face systemic barriers that start at the hiring stage and persist through career progression. These aren’t just statistics; they’re stories of resilience, untapped potential, and the urgent need for a financial sector that reflects the diversity of the society it serves.

At our event, hosted by AXA Belgium, we explored how to dismantle these barriers through:

✅ Reducing biases in HR processes, because fairness isn’t optional.
✅ Empowering multicultural talent through mentoring and sponsorship, because potential thrives when it’s nurtured.
✅ Measuring ethnicity and multiculturality, because what gets measured gets moved.

A heartfelt thank you to the team at AXA Belgium, Manuel De Los Santos, Luc Vandemoortele, Manou Foulon and Are-Ching Man for sharing their commitment to diversity, and to every participant who showed up ready to listen, learn, and lead. Your engagement is what turns conversations into change.

A big thanks to all the volunteers and attendees for making this event a great success!
